Rhigos 0 Nantyffyllon 22

Rhigos under 12'S and 13's lost at home this weekend to a very strong Nantyfyllon squad. Nantyfyllon had the upper hand by being an experienced team, but this didn't deter the Rhigos youngsters. They held their own and showed some excellent defensive strategies, but unfortunately Nanty had one or two lucky breaks and made the most of them.

The final score was Rhigos 0 Nanty 22. For a squad that has only been together for 5 months, they are definitely ones to watch for the future. They are progressing from strength to strength and the final result didn't warrant such a hard fought game.

Rhigos 24 Brecon 0

Rhigos under 13's squad were home to Brecon. In a tightly fought game, both teams showed an excellent standard of rugby. But Rhigos were too strong for Brecon. There were some fantastic passages of play, the Rhigos forwards were driving through the opposition and nothing could hold them. They turned over the ball time and time again and once it got away to the backs there was no catching them. Their handling skills were excellent, and with simple moves creating overlaps, it really paid off.

Final score was Rhigos 24 Brecon 0.
